1 Rounded Tablespoon Yeast
2 1/4 Very Warm Water
1/2 Cup Shortening
1 Egg
1 Additional Cup Flour

1. In a mixer bowl, mix together the first 4 dry ingredients. Use the paddle attachment.

3. Add the Egg and 1 Cup Flour and mix for an additional 1-2 minutes.
4. Scrape the paddle clean, and switch to the dough hook.
5. Add the 4 Cups of Flour, and knead for 3-5 minutes once the flour is mixed and a dough ball is formed.

7. Punch the dough down, separate into 3 equal portions. Roll them out to remove air bubbles, shape into loaves, and place each one into a greased bread loaf pan.
