Chicken For Pita Sandwiches
Ingredients
1/3 Cup Olive Oil
2 Teaspoons Cumin
2 Teaspoons Paprika
1 Teaspoon Allspice
3/4 Teaspoon Turmeric
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Power
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
3/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
2-4 Chicken Breasts, cut into approximately 1” wide strips
Instructions
Put 2 - 4 chicken breasts (cut into strips) into a large Ziplock baggie.
Pour the olive oil into baggie. Close and mix well.
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
Pour dry ingredients into the baggie, and mix until all chicken is coated evenly.
Let marinate 1 hour to overnight.
Spread out on greased baking sheet.
Roast for 15-25 minutes at 400 degrees.
Serve in a pita with cucumber, tomato, lettuce, onion, and sauce of your choice. (Tzatziki, Mayonnaise with lemon juice, Ranch, Tahini, Caesar, etc.)
