Carne Asada

Description

This recipe does a pretty solid job making good carne asada, with very little work involved. I have tweaked the amount of salt, since the original recipe wasn't salty enough, as well as a few other tweaks to make this recipe easier

Ingredients
2 lbs sliced flank steak
1/3 Cup Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
2 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar
2 TBS Minced Garlic
1 Orange (juiced)
1 Lime (juiced)
1 Minced Jalapeno (Optional)
2 TSP Chili Powder
1 TSP Ground Cumin
1 TSP Oregano
1.5 TSP Salt
1 TSP Pepper
1/2 Cup Cilantro

Instructions
Combine in a large bowl, and add meat. I had the meat sliced thin prior to adding to the marinade.
*Note: I only use the stems of cilantro for the marinade, since it is just for marinading. That way you aren't wasting anything. Be sure to 'crush' the cilantro with the flat part of a knife to allow the cilantro to properly infuse.
Marinade for at least 2 hours, but no more than 8.
Place the slices on the hot side of a grill to sear them
After searing, place slices on cooler side of grill in a pile
After all slices are seared, close the lid on the grill, and let the meat get to a good temp (about 15 minutes)
Take off grill, and slice thin
