Teriyaki Glazed Salmon

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs Salmon
1-2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 Tbsp Sliced Green Onions (Optional)
1 tsp Sesame Seeds (Optional)
Teriyaki Sauce:
1/4 C Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Mirin
3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp Corn Starch
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1/4 tsp Ginger Powder
1-2 Cloves Garlic Minced
2 Tbsp Water
Instructions
1. Pat dry salmon - make sure it is completely defrosted.
2. In a small bowl combine all teriyaki sauce ingredients - mix well.
3. Heat large skillet, add vegetable oil. Once oil is heated sear salmon on one side for a few minutes. If leaving skin on then sear it skin side up first.
4. Flip salmon and lower heat to medium low. Cover if needed (especially if it is a thick cut)
5. After a few minutes when it looks like it is almost cooked add the teriyaki sauce to the skillet slowly. Spoon sauce over salmon as it continues to cook.
6. When salmon is cooked (no longer translucent or internal temp. reached 145 F) remove skillet from heat.
7. Serve salmon with teriyaki sauce.
8. Optional: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
